Well, we're just a few weeks away from the big day and we were just informed there's a bit of a snafu with the hotel room blocks. Unfortunately, the Embassy Suites is now entirely booked-there's an antique car show on South Congress the same weekend as the wedding! Sadly, that means that if you haven't already booked your hotel at the Embassy Suites, there's no room at the inn! We do recommend checking out Travelocity, Priceline, Orbitz, etc to find a room downtown at a reasonable price. If you feel more comfortable calling and reserving with the hotels directly, here are a few in the area that we would recommend for their convenience and location:
Radisson: $186/night, located next door to the reception. 512-478-9611
Courtyard Marriott: $229/night, about 3 blocks from the reception. 512-236-8008
Hilton: $239/night, about 3 blocks from reception 512-482-8000
Hyatt: $215/night, across the river from the reception 512-472-1500
AT&T Conference Center @ UT: $118-139, located on campus (not walkable from wedding events), 1-866-539-8117
There are more hotels downtown, but if you have any questions regarding the location, please let us know! We would caution staying anywhere East of (or on the border of) I-35 as this area can be a little sketchy.
